Cat Walker is a Nationally Accredited Mediator, Conflict Coach, Lawyer, Associate Lecturer at the University of Queensland’s School of Veterinary Science, Podcast Host, and Mum. As a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with dual legal and mediation qualifications Cat brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the veterinary and allied health sectors. As a multidisciplinary mediator and online mediation specialist Cat mediates matters Australia wide either in-person or via Zoom for a broad range of disputes apart family mediation. Her background as a litigation lawyer ensures that mediation is balanced, objective and facilitative while her personal mediation style is grounded in a compassionate and down to earth approach.

Conflict Coach

Cat uses her experience as a multidisciplinary mediator to work with practice owners, managers and medical teams to provide objective advice and support so that they can understand and manage issues before they result in patient harm, resignations, loss of clients, negative feedback and ultimately devalue the practice. Cat provides training and support to teams and individuals so that they are able to utilise a set of skills and strategies to manage or resolve disputes and prevent recurring behaviour that is contributing to a conflict prone environment.
